All of our classrooms have a reading corner, for every age of children. Learning to read is not only a vital life skill but a source of great pleasure and a gateway to further learning. Starting to read at a young age can boost children’s learning across all subject areas.
Puzzles and link-building activities are a fantastic way to help children develop their cognitive and motor skills. In each of our classrooms, we have a puzzle center with a variety of activities to help children including building blocks, chain links, wooden and 3D puzzles.
Dramatic play is about encouraging children to follow their imaginations! With dress-up items, a children’s kitchen, and a washing machine, amongst other items, our youngest children have the opportunity to play make-believe in and create a story of their own.
We have a fenced-in play area for the children to play in safely. Inside there is lots of play equipment for the children to climb, explore and play on. The children are given the opportunity to play outside every day.
Children’s joy and happiness is a big part of their learning. At Amazing Grace EEC, we encourage them to have fun as a part of their education, with child-led activities which are adapted to their abilities and interests.

Designed specifically for 2 ½ and 3 year olds, the Pathways for Preschool Program offers stage appropriate activities including songs, rhymes, games crafts, and stories. Based on this curriculum, every activity at Amazing Grace EEC has the aim of encouraging children to be creative, engage in lessons, and discover a love for learning.
This well-balanced curriculum focuses on personal and social development, letter and number recognition, and gross motor skill development. At this age, children love to explore their world, and we encourage them to learn at their own pace. Use of interactive circle times helps children to develop their social skills, recognising the importance of communication and being part of a team.
